Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

Arcadia offers excellent food at a variety of restaurants – you’ll always eat well. Craving steak and seafood? Visit world-famous The Derby for an upscale, award-winning dining experience surrounded by horse-racing memorabilia.

The Santa Anita Westfield Mall has it all. It has a wide range of retail stores such as H&M, Zara, Express, Lululemon, and several department stores including the luxurious Nordstrom. The mall also has a full-service health club, Gold’s Gym, and AMC Theaters where you can go enjoy a movie on the big screen.

The best way to finish your shopping trip (or your fitness session) is to sit down at one of their many restaurants. Visit the refined Meizhou Dongpo Restaurant for traditional Chinese cuisine. You won’t want to miss ordering the Peking duck, their house specialty. Another total must is the internationally-beloved Din Tai Fung, a Taiwanese restaurant famous for its dumplings and other delicious menu items.

Another frequented spot is The Peacock Cafe, noteworthy for its delicious food and its outdoor seating surrounded by the gorgeous gardens of the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden.

Things to Do

Arcadia’s environmental priority guarantees the most enchanting walks at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, with over 127-acres of luscious landscape and a variety of gardens. The Arboretum also hosts a variety of weekly events, such as painting classes, yoga in the garden, and more.

Horseracing events are one of Arcadia’s most popular entertainment activities. Attend the wide array of events at Santa Anita Park, a Thoroughbred racetrack that offers some of the most prominent horse racing events in the country during early fall, winter, and spring.

Arcadia hosts other annual events throughout the year that attract locals and tourists alike, great for the entire family. People love attending 626 Night Market, a 3-day festival that features 250+ food, merchandise, crafts, artists, games, live concerts, and entertainment attractions for people of all ages. Hosted at Santa Anita Park, the festival is inspired by the famous open-air nighttime bazaars of Asia where people come together to have a good time.
